Publications include many of the rare works of soil science pioneers such as Glinka, Ruffin, Evelyn, Young, and Marbut.

The John Peter Richardson Correspondence with W. S. Reynolds contains two letters between Richardson and Reynolds relating to the status of agriculture in South Carolina and the possibility of a survey of agriculture, soils, and mineral resources.
